Which business structure is best for me?

The most common business structures are limited liability company (LLC) ,  sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, and S corporation.  Is an LLC necessary? 

The simple answer is no. However, An LLC is needed to protect your personal assets. It’s also needed to open a business bank account, hire employees and get other license and or permits your business. 

The cost of forming an LLC depends on your state. Once you decide on a business name and make sure it’s available you can submit the incorporation through your state department. We offer LLC formation in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Georgia. 

 How do I form an LLC? 

Yes, every state requires you to have a registered agent to receive your legal notices. A registered agent must have a physical address in the state your business is registered in. 

 Is a register agent required?  

Most states require you to register your business name. If the name of the business is not your own name, you may also need a “doing business as” license. 

 Am I required to register my business name?

Simple put yes. if you plan to do business across state lines, you have to register with each state. Your business can be penalized heavily for not following these rules. 

 If I want to do Business in other states, do I have to register with those states? 

Once you have verified the business name is available you can place a hold or reservation on that name. This gives you up to 60 days to file your incorporation paperwork.
